This is a new facility proposed for the Hastings campus of the Peninsula Health Service and incorporating a component for the Mornington peninsula Shire Community Services. The brief was to provide a built environment that was energy efficient, flexible to allow for future expansion, and an architecturally significant building for the community of Hastings.

The building has been designed with a seaside theme in mind incorporating external boat shaped roof elements around the entry and main reception, and colours through the brickwork and render to provide distinctive building elevations. The planning ensures that the facility is flexible and will allow for proposed expansion in the future. The environmental design initiatives includes collecting rain water and reusing it for toilet flushing and garden watering, and swale drainage around the site to naturally clean storm water runoff before entering the local catchments.
